computerbrokenramDo you have some broken RAM computer’s cards, do you think it was useless?. If you have, do not throw them to the garbage, because they may be able to re-use in the future after you read this tips about how to repair it. If you are the lucky, then they will be usable and you can plug them back to your computer and use them like a new memory card.

This tips was came from my experience in hardware repair, which is the accuracy over than 70%. If you have for example: 10 pieces of broken RAM, it’s mean you have 7 RAM that will be able to be repaired. It’s worth value if you can make it, we can save our money.

Ok, let’s start it, you need an Multi-meter to make it.

  1. Clean up the pins of RAM card using the wet weft, you can use alcohol, so that will be cleaned from dusty and the ion in the pins will be stimulated to be more conductive.
  2. Setup the Multi-meter to Ohm scale (to measuring the resistance), you are free to set it as 1K, 10K, 100K, etc. It’s up to you.
  3. Take the black-stick (negative side) from Multi-meter and plug it to one of the memory’s pins and the red-stick (positive side) scrub it to the IC’s pin/feet of memory card. Example: If the memory has 8 pieces of IC (Integrated Circuit), then you need to scrub the positive-stick to the entire of 8 IC’s pins.
  4. It’s done, you have made it. You can plug it the slot of memory’s card from your computer.

The above process is to utilize electric current from Multi-meter which was released to the entire IC/Chipset of memory. It’s same with CMOS clearing process to your computer’s main-board if the main-board unable to run.

Good luck to try!
