I live in a student accommodation complex and the internet here is ridiculously slow when there are a lot of other people online. I’ve been told there is a way to direct a larger percentage of the total internet speed to my computer. Is this possible and if so how?

Your reply is totally not answering the question. He indicates that he lives in a student accomodation. The reason why his connection is so slow is due to an overload of users, not because he has spyware or an dialup connection. I can see his problem, since I’m encountering it myself. So if there is any way to attract bandwidth (like a magnet or something) to your own computer, it would also be very glad to know it.
There is one solution to ur prob……. Follow these steps
1. Unplug the Internet wire
2. Plug it into ur ass hole
3. Insert it as deep as you can
4. After 30 minutes unplug it from ur ass hole and plug it again into ur computer

but for your kind information mr.lonly in every matter this process will not solve your problem. you always try this one
To boost a connection create two connection from the same server with two different name and merge these networks. Usually you can do this in 3 steps:-
1) Set up 2 Networks from Add Network Options
2) Go to Network and Sharing Center found in Control Panel
3) Check for Merging Option and Merge the 2 network.
