Acrobat ReaderAdobe Acrobat Reader is the mostly important program you should have in your Computer. I believed most of you have an Adobe Reader Application in your PC. However, sometimes part of these applications makes a little problem and bothering. It’s a new features released by Adobe which is able to automatically update the Adobe Reader when you are connected through Internet. This feature is only available in Adobe Reader 8.1 and above version, and it’s called “Adobe Updater”. This feature will running automatically when it’s detected an internet connection, the Process will running as a background process, it’s quitely load your memory and internet connection. That’s not what you want, right?. Now, we should shut it down as we don’t need it right now as we can update it manually whenever we want.

1. Open the Adobe Reader.

2. Go to Help-> Check for Updates…

3. The Adobe Reader will open an Adobe Updater feature, just wait the Process to check the component which is need to be updated.

4. After the Process, you will see the notification about the size of the file where the Adobe Reader ready to download. There are 2 text link you will see. Just click the Preferences text link.

5. Uncheck the “Automatically check for Adobe Updates” checkbox. Then you have disable the Adobe Updater.
