For those who often interact with the device which is called as a Computer, of course you will not get a surprise when found your computer make a ‘beep’ sound when you start your Computer/PC.
Generally ‘beep’ will come out every time the computer booting up before logon to the operating systems.
But, did you know that sound is not created without a reason. How many types of beep’s sound that you have ever heard out from your computer?
The ‘beep’ sounds may help the technician computer to find out the problem of any PC/Computer. This method usually called as “Sound’s Analysis”.
There are many ‘beep’ sound in our Computer/PC which is we often heard, as like as the following information you have to know:
1. One time short ‘beep’. It’s indicates that your computer has been successfully conducted and running all the components which were needed to the boot-up computer. If you heard the sound, but your PC is not running smoothly, make sure your VGA cable have been installed correctly, also try to check your monitor, make sure your monitor is functioning properly. Conversely, if the computer works on, but no sound ‘beep’ you heard, check the internal speaker on your motherboard, if necessary, check your BIOS settings.
2. Two times short ‘beep’. It’s mean you have a problem with the CMOS settings.
3. One time long ‘beep’ and one time short ‘beep’. It’s mean, there is a problem with your Motherboard and Memory/RAM configuration. Check the motherboard and RAM, and make it’s functioning properly.
4. One time long ‘beep’ and two times short ‘beep’. It’s mean your VGA or Monitor have mis-configuration.
5. One time long ‘beep’ and three times short ‘beep’. It’s mean you have a problem with your Keyboard. Make sure it’s plugged properly.
6. One time long ‘beep’ and nine times short ‘beep’. Indicated that you have a problem with your BIOS ROM.
7. Long ‘beep’ continuously. That mean you have a problem with your RAM (memory).
8. Short ‘beep’ continuously. This mean you have a problem with the computer power supply.
9. In some brand of motherboard, the continuously short ‘beep’ indicates that the temperature of processor is too high.
Note: The ‘beep’ codes above are apply to the AWARD BIOS. For another BIOS may have a different ‘beep’ code.
