A couple days ago i have received many emails from my friends asking about how to hide a video file in Blackberry. After some trial in my Bold 9000, i have found the trick to hide them. This trick will work without need to install any application on your Blackberry as it’s just a few steps to do that. So, by this time you will be able to hide your private video files in your Blackberry device. Well, what you have to do is only do the following steps :
- Open your Media Application
- Go to Explorer mode like the following image
- Select your video file you want to hide
- Rename the file. While renaming the file, you have to remove the extension file. i.e : “blackberry-video.mp4″ you need to remove the “.mp4″ so that the final name is “blackberry-video”.
- Congratulation, you have hide the video file on your Blackberry. Anytime you want to watch your video files, then you just need to rename back the file to its original file extension.
The above method will work to any Blackberry device such as Bold, Tour, Curve, Storm, etc. Have a good try

What you can do is say your video file is called blackberryvideo.mp4 on your computer. Rename the extention to .doc and then copy it to your blackberry media card through your computer to- drive letter\blackberry\documents. This way it wont show up in your media video folder. When you want to view it just go to your media card file folders, media card, blackberry, documents, and rename the extension from .doc to .mp4 to play. Rename it back when your done or it WILL show up in your videos list.
