Maintain Ink-Jet Color Printer
In fact, many printer products will have a short life time of usage if we use it without good maintenance, I personally agree with that statement, and therefore we need a special attention to caring for a printer. There are various brands of printer that we often meet, and certainly handling and usage would be different. Due to many printer users have a problem on their Ink Jet Printer, therefore I will focus on this printer type only.
Here are some tips on how to maintain the printer as easy and cheap as the printer will be able to work more efficient.
Printer Usage Periodically
To prevent from the bad print quality, you must use the printer periodically, at least two or three times a week. It will make the ink flow keeps smooth. If you are among those who seldom use the printer, I will suggest you to create a schedule about the printer usage, it will help you to remind about printer usage periodically, to keep smooth the ink-flow.
Turn Off the Printer
If you think the printer will not be used for a long time, it’s better to turn it off as it will keep the print-head smooth and clean.
Clean up the printer
To keep your printer clean and smooth, you need to check and clean up inside of the printer every two or three weeks, it’s depend on how often the usage of the printer. Do not place the printer on the dusty area if not you can keep it in the plastic wrap.
Paper-Jam Solution
When you have this condition, please do not pull the paper forcibly, it will break the stepper-motor of the printer. It’s better to turn off the printer for a second, and then turn it on, the printer will calibrate it self and push out the paper. But if still not resolve the problem, you can pull the paper out smoothly in the same direction of the printer.
Ink Toner Quality
Use the only require and best quality of ink toner that recommended from the printer’s manufacturer, I found many of the printer’s users ignoring this. But this is the most widely causing damage of almost all of the printers.
