I had two computers both connected to a wireless router. Yesterday I connected a third computer to the network and, although the connection goes through for this new computer, one of the original computers now says “Limited or no connectivity” and cannot connect to the Internet. Is it possible that the new computer is using up too much bandwidth and is therefore preventing the other computer from accessing the Internet?

I am writing this as i have found many people still do not understand what’s a bandwidth and how to know it. I believe you have familiar with this word “Kilo Byte per second” (KBps) or “Kilo bit per second” (Kbps) or “Mega bit per second” (Mbps). What’s the different of them?. Basically, here’s the scenario.
My brother tends to run these vigorous programs, such as that of Utorrent, and hogs up the whole bandwidth in the house. When he does these kinds of activities, I am unable to navigate through the internet effectively; even as simple as checking my email! Continue reading »
