American consumers have spoken and as a result Android OS has been hailed as the top favorite OS of the second quarter.  The NPD Group, which is a leading market research industry, today announced results of its latest research for the second quarter of 2010. Based on the latest findings of the NPD, nearly 33 percent of phones sold conduct Android OS. Apparently this is the first time it ever since Q4 2007. Though BlackBerry continue to be extremely popular, it’s no secret that RIM needed to step up its game and really work on improving and advancing its operating system. And over the past few months, the company has given us previews of a refreshed OS. The RIM BlackBerry Torch 9800 is the first device to ship running BlackBerry OS 6 and will be available starting August 12 for US9.99 with a two-year contract.
